Fever may be a temporary increase in blood heat , often thanks to illness.
A fever may be a sign of an abnormality within the body. For an adult, fever are often uncomfortable, but it’s always not a cause for concern unless it reaches 39.4oC (103oF) or higher. For infants and young children, a rather heat may indicate a significant infection.
Fevers usually come out in a few days. Several over-the-counter medications reduce fever, but sometimes it is better not to treat it. Fever seems to play a key role in helping the body fight a variety of infections.
There are several products that can provide you with relief during a fever. In addition to being nutrient-filled, these foods are healthy and easy to digest by the patient. Indian foods such as chappati, khihdi or dalia are commonly consumed for signs of fever.
As digestion weakens during any disease, acute or fatty foods should be avoided. Instead of eating something spicy or salty, choose easily digestible boiled rice, boiled potatoes or porridge.
Do something during signs of fever.
1. Consume raw fruits and vegetables that can be cleaned.
2. Drink plenty of water. This will cool the body temperature and remove toxins.
3. Take many liquids like fruit juices, coconut water, lime water, glucose water, electrolyte drinks etc. They will keep your body cool and provide you with the vitamins and minerals necessary to boost your immune system. Electrolyte drinks will maintain an electrolyte balance in the body, which is lost due to excessive sweating, urination or when fever is accompanied by diarrhea.
4. Never eat raw food because it takes time to digest. Eat boiled or cooked foods such as soups, cereals, chihadi, etc. so that your organs don’t have to work hard.
5. Do not take canned vegetables or fruits. Go for fresh whole fruits or fresh fruit juices.
6. During a high temperature, the patient should be given fluids at intervals of 2 hours. When the signs of heat subside, the patient can be given a soft diet, such as yogurt, porridge, soups, chihadi, etc.
7. Fermented foods such as yogurt, idly, buttermilk, soy products, etc. will provide you with beneficial bacteria that help the body fight infections and diseases.
8. Ice cream and cold yogurt can have a calming effect on sore throat, and pneumonia – hot boiled milk, hot soups or hichdi.
9. Do not take sugar or honey, instead take glucose. Blood absorbs glucose more easily than sugar. This will give you instant energy.
10. Do not take alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes, coffee, fizzy drinks, seafood, red meat, spicy or fatty foods, etc. during a fever.
