Solid perfume: this is the latest natural beauty trend 2021!

Solid perfume this is the latest natural beauty trend 2021!

The choice of your perfume is very individual – but what is very universal, that is the desire for a product which is completely without pollutants! After all, you spray perfume directly onto your skin. Solid perfume is the new beauty discovery 2021, all-natural!

The product you know by the term “perfume” is usually made from a mixture of alcohol, water, and fragrances dissolved in it, that is, essential or synthetic oils. Depending on the concentration of the fragrance oils, a distinction is made between “parfum”, “Eau de parfum”, “eau de toilette” or “eau de cologne”.

They often contain substances that could be avoided because they are considered allergenic. Artificially produced musk fragrances are particularly dangerous: they can accumulate both in the human body and in the environment and are suspected of being allergenic, hormonally active, and even carcinogenic.

This does not have to be! A solid perfume is made vegan, entirely without alcohol or preservatives. It is the most natural, since most original variant of a fragrance.

The new beauty trend 2021: This is what is behind solid perfume.

In the early days of perfume production, fragrance oils were always dissolved in creamy form (at that time with the help of animal fats) so that the scent would adhere well to the skin. Only much later – instead of fats – water and alcohol were used, which you know today as classic perfumes for spraying. For this purpose, mainly soy wax, coconut oil, shea butter, or cocoa butter is used.

How to use a solid perfume

Solid perfumes are quite simple to use. They work similarly to the creamy deodorants we already know. Simply pick up a small amount with your fingertips and dab it onto body-warm areas like your neck and pulse, massaging it in gently.

You can dose the solid perfume quite individually. Depending on how subtle or intense you want the scent to be around you, simply apply a smaller or larger amount to the desired areas.

Make your own solid perfume: Here’s how!

Making your own solid perfume is quick and easy. It’s especially practical for traveling because you can now transport your fragrance in a practical jar and not, as usual, in liquid form – which always causes problems when flying.

What you need for a jar:

  • 1 tbsp (bee) wax pastilles
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa butter (alternatively coconut oil)
  • 2 tbsp. shea butter
  • approx. 30 drops of essential oil of your choice

How it works:

The beeswax, shea butter, and cocoa butter are first completely melted in a hot water bath. While you’re at it, add the essential oil already.

Then pour directly into a small container, e.g. a hot rinsed glass. When filling, you should be as fast as possible, otherwise, the beeswax hardens again and sticks in the bowl.
Of course, you can also order this wonderful trend – we are completely in love with the jars from PonyHütchen!
