Wrap dresses conjure us a super figure in spring and summer 2018

Designer Diane von Fürstenberg invented a prototype of a wrap dress in 1972. Although the combination of skirt and wrap blouse was worn before, but a combination as a dress did not yet exist. Today, wrap dresses are true figure flatterers and look fabulous on any occasion.

Diane von Fürstenberg said in an interview with Die Welt about what is probably her greatest invention: “It’s much bigger than me. It paid for my children’s education, my houses, it made me famous. In France, the wrap dress is called a “robe portefeuille,” wallet dress. The dress that filled my wallet.” No other dress represents so much femininity in fashion. “People also say it’s the dress that catches a man’s eye and that his mother can’t object to,” the Belgian explains. And, “If you’ve slept with a man and they want to sneak off in the middle of the night without making any noise, they just carefully grab the dress and they’re gone.”
